  2. To create your account, select the Get Started button in the top right corner.

  4. In the Passcode field, type the unique passcode for your company’s IdeaCloud and select Submit. (See your company’s IdeaCloud representative to get the Passcode.)
  5. Select the collection card for the vertical with the simulation you want to run.
  6. Select the visualizer for the simulation you want to run or select the simulation card for more details.
  7. To access the simulation training guide, select the simulation card and then select the PDF in the Assets/Tools section.

What do I do if the simulation doesn’t display correctly or I get a server error?

Sometimes the data in your browser cache can create issues, especially if a simulation has been recently updated. We recommend:

  • Clearing your browser cache.
  • Running the simulation in an incognito window. To do this, click on the in the top right corner of your Chrome browser and select New incognito window. Type your email and password to start the session.

How do I know which visualizer to use?

To determine which visualizer to use, think about your audience and the set up for your meeting. Check your simulation to see which options it has available. Use the One visualizer when you will be showing a simulation on one screen. The One visualizer is used most often and works well for sales meetings (virtual or in-person), trade show booths where you have a single monitor, training sessions, etc. Use the Executive visualizer if you are showing your simulation across two or three screens (e.g., keynotes, user group forums, executive briefing centers, etc). Use the Present visualizer for training purposes. This is a video version of a simulation (typically without voice over) that allows you to run the simulation continuously while you narrate the script. Note: For those simulations with a Present visualizer, you can now find them on the simulation detail page.

How do I run the One visualizer?

Use the One visualizer on one screen to narrate as you pace through the story using the interactions. Depending upon the simulation, you can choose how to run the mobile app component from the following options:

  • Simulator - Automatically display the mobile app on the screen without having to use your iPhone. You run the interactions from your computer.
  • AutoRun - Automatically display the mobile app on the screen without having to use your iPhone. You control when to move to the next sequence, but the interactions within a sequence autoplay.

To run the One visualizer:

  1. Launch a Chrome browser and go to your IdeaCloud URL.
  2. Navigate to the simulation and select the One visualizer.
  3. Select a mobile configuration (Simulator, AutoRun, or Live) and select Launch.
  4. If you are on a PC, change to Full Screen mode to remove any browser appearance from your screen. If you are on a Mac, you will not be able to enter full screen if you are using the Mobile Live option, as it will appear over the top of your cast phone.
  5. Follow the steps in the script to advance through the sequences.

How do I run the Executive visualizer?

Use the Executive visualizer for keynotes, large audience presentations or executive briefing centers where you can display the simulation using multiple screens.

To run the Executive visualizer:

  1. Launch a Chrome browser and go to your IdeaCloud URL.
  2. Navigate to the simulation and select the Executive visualizer.
  3. For the Left and Right Displays, select whether you want to display the Horizontal or Vertical version (if both are available) and then select Launch.
  4. For the Center Display, select a mobile configuration (Simulator, AutoRun) and select Launch.
  5. Once the displays are open in different windows, mirror them to the correct monitors and close the Executive Simulation Configurator dialog.
  6. For the same simulation, select the Trigger Panel icon. Use the Trigger Panel to advance through the simulation using the vertical list of sequences on the left, the arrow keys on the top right, or with your computer arrow keys. The Trigger Panel also provides the script and the interactions to run each sequence.

How do I run the Present visualizer?

The Present visualizer is most commonly used for training on how to give the simulation. Some have voice over so you can learn the script.

To run the Present visualizer from IdeaCloud:

  1. Launch a Chrome browser and go to your IdeaCloud URL.
  2. Navigate to the simulation and click on the name to display the simulation detail page.
  3. Select the Present visualizer. It will auto play.
  4. Right-click on the simulation and enable video controls.
  5. Use your video tools to play, pause or move to another point in the video as needed.
  6. Enable Full Screen mode.

How do I learn how to run a specific simulation?

For more information about a specific simulation, click on the simulation name to see the detail page. This page gives you an Overview of the simulation and links to the visualizers as well as a downloadable PDF with the training guide.

The training guide has the script that paces with the story, the interactions you need to perform to run each sequence of the simulation and a screenshot of the first screen in each sequence.

What hardware do we need to run simulations at an event or tradeshow?

To run simulations at a tradeshow or other event, please use the checklist below to ensure you have the hardware needed.

Note: If you choose to reflect your iPhone rather than using the Mobile Simulator, we recommend using a Mac Mini with a Chrome browser. (You can also choose to use a computer with Reflector, but this is less stable in a tradeshow environment.)
